Higher Education Special Events
Members of the higher education community are invited for coffee, conversation, and a session covering topics unique to the needs of ATD members who are faculty, staff, and talent development (TD) professionals in a college or university setting. Preregistration is encouraged.
Who Should Attend?
- Faculty, staff, and TD practitioners working for an institution of higher learning (universities, colleges, and community colleges in the United States and abroad)
- Faculty of TD-related courses and programs (full time, part time, adjunct)
- Staff (deans, program managers, corporate partnership managers)
- TD professionals (HR, employee development, faculty development)
Monday, May 18
10–11:30 a.m. Faculty Forum
Join your peers for discussions covering topics unique to the needs of faculty, TD practitioners, and staff working on a college or university campus. Meet in room W208B at 10am, then move into breakout sessions.
Stay for lunch and hear from featured conference speakers Michael Stallard, President, E Pluribus Partners, and Ann Louden, Director, TCU Center for Connection Culture as they share insights on connection culture best practices in higher education.
Seating is limited; preregistration is encouraged.
9:30–10:30 a.m. Higher Education Farewell

Tuesday, May 19
ATD invites all PhD, master’s, and bachelor’s students attending the conference to join us for Student Day events. Preregistration for the lunch and networking social is encouraged because seating is limited.
7:30–8 a.m. Student Day Check-In and Coffee
Just outside of Valencia Ballroom
Pick up your student nametag ribbon and materials before taking advantage of reserved general session seating.
All students are invited to take advantage of reserved seating in the general session room on Tuesday. Look for “Reserved Seating” signs at the front of the room. Reserved seating is released 10 minutes prior to the session start.
Enjoy lunch and networking with fellow students and hear from the featured conference speaker, Lori Roth, PhD, CPLP, as she shares lessons from a lifelong learner. Seating is limited; preregistration is encouraged.
|5:30-7 p.m. Student Career Networking Social, ATD 2015 Career Center
Join us for this exclusive students-only event to network with career coaches. Enjoy beer and wine while building your network! Have questions for the career coaches? Bring them for the Ask-a-Coach portion of this event, or just listen in to what your peers are asking. Attendance is limited to PhD, master’s, and bachelor’s students. Space is limited; preregistration is encouraged.
